Wouter Ibens

Part of a team that implemented an Energy Management System (EMS) for residential buildings. Our job was not only to build the software but also the Yocto-based linux OS supporting it. In this position I was the driving force of moving to the use of modern C++ and improving the build pipeline. I quickly became responsible for the architecture and performing technical interviews.

I spent two years as a C developer on a realtime operating system. After this, I spent four years as a Python developer on networks analytics software. On the side, I spent some time working on tools to ease the development process and performed technical interviews of potential candidates.

Oriented on automated configuration management using Chef. As such, I worked on the team that created an automated configuration system for the infrastructure of the website of the city of Antwerp.

I was part of an agile team responsible for the development of Technicolor's next-generation gateway. The main focus was development, integration and testing the OpenWRT operating system and its packages. We also developed new packages for specific problems.

Completed a specialization course on C++ Best Practices.
