At BDP International - a freight forwarder - I was part of a team of about ten people, developing and maintaining a software stack for offices worldwide. Implementation and alteration of functionality was mostly done in direct contact with business stakeholders, operations, and external service providers. ○Document generation using PHP and PDFLib. ○Electronic Data Interchange using Java to generate and parse messages in EDIFACT, X12, and XML syntax. Message exchange using WebSockets and FTP. ○Business website with PHP backend and HTML/Javascript frontend. ○Writing SQL queries for reports and issues with production data. ○Troubleshooting and shell scripting on Red Hat servers. ○Occasional C++ debugging.
Bachelors project on Oracle database optimization using Automatic Workload Repository, written in Java with a JavaFX UI. Internship at AGFA Healthcare, working on JSTL code, and on a C# front-end for the Musica imaging library.
Finals project on chromatography.
