In recent years I have worked as a freelance translator with written and oral translations and at the same time as a certified regional guide in the city of Salvador and the state of Bahia and as a tour leader throughout Brazil with English, French and Dutch-speaking tourists.
Before that I worked for over 15 years in the ICT sector as a project manager, business analyst and functional analyst, more specifically with requirements analysis and functional analysis, including data and process modelling, but also with programming, testing, implantation and user training.
I was responsible for the “Client/Server applications development” department of a local software-house. I coordinated the development projects and participated also actively in all the development phases, especially as business and functional analyst doing requirement analysis, data and process modeling, but also acceptance tests, implantation and end user training. We developed several applications for the local electricity distribution company, including "Projection of consumption and demand", "Budgeting and calculation of transmission works costs", among others. We used the technology of local networks and relational databases in a Client/Server environment, Case-tools and GUI development-tools.
I was responsible for the information systems department, including the planning, purchasing and use of the software and hardware used by the company. I worked intensively together with a software-house to develop a new automated system for the department of benefits, including contribution control and complex actuarial calculations.
1. Trainee: I participated the trainee program of the bank during a year taking courses on accounting, financial markets, loans and credits, etc. and getting practice in several departments of the bank.
2. Information Analyst:
I participated the design and building of an automated system for the credit departments for the control of the life cycle of the portfolio of credits. I was responsible for a team with two analysts and two developers.
3. Business Analyst:
I elaborated a viability study of an automated system for the control and charge of checking accounts with overdrawn credit limits and also a requirements' analysis for the credit analysts of the bank in order to automate their specialist job.
