Alexandre Fortin

My name is Alexandre, I am 35 and my technical background is composed of two seven month long trainings in Brussels. The first of which was dedicated to web development and algorithmics and the second focused on cyber security. I have leant a lot during those intense sessions and acquired a real computer scientist approach. This approach allows me to face any new problem with method and calm. As time went by it even became a source of joy, as would be solving a puzzle. During my spare time I work on multiple computer related projects, from configuring a privacy focused DNS server on a raspberryPi, SSH accessible encrypted NAS or even Reverse engineering. Those projects have strengthen my knowledge in general computer skills such as network troubleshooting, operating systems (linux as well), hardware and backup management. In order to learn more as well as get hands on experience, I started as a regular IT benevolent at Oxfam computers in Ixelles last July. This gave me the opportunity to confront myself to new problems, learn from my peers and practice explaining computers to non-technical profiles such as customers. I am eager to learn and would like to start as a support engineer for some time, maybe move up to second line when ready and finally combine this experience with my knowledge in cyber security.
