The Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA), operating under the Ministry of Justice and Security, is responsible for the reception and guidance of asylum seekers in the Netherlands. As of March 10, 2025, COA managed over 350 reception locations, including more than +95 regular and +240 emergency shelters. These facilities are established and managed in close cooperation with municipalities.
